Letting go.............

The leaves have been falling in crunchy handfuls all this windy day, its turbulence disturbed my head and  made me reflect on the year.  This year has been so very dreadful, so much heartbreak and pain..too many tears...but as the leaves blow in the wind I want them to take away the sorrow and hurts of this hard year.   The leaves will fall I know  and leave behind the bare branches of my family tree. My fabulous husband and our supportive family are standing strong against the blue Autumn  sky.

I have a wild shelf in our lounge to always remind me of the beauty and generosity of  nature and I have at long last a part time job with lovely people kind and caring, so we are not struggling as much thank goodness and I have my sewing that I love doing, but maybe doesn't sell very well ... but keeps us in clothes and comfy furnishings. So I shall watch as the wind blows,  leaves fall and the world changes and the wheel turns and I believe all will be well

Hugs Lynn xxx

I have started to embroider a real wintry cushion for a Christmas present x

It has been a very hard year full of tears over here at Sea Cottage too...but even in the sorrow and suffering I find beauty...beauty in the ashes. Maybe you will reconsider in closing your etsy...and re-open. Mine has just sat for the past year making very little sales but I keep it open because I love creating...even if no one buys :)You are an artist and designer...it has just been trying times for so many of us and very little money to spend. I've noticed many etsy shops have closed or sales have dropped. So you are not alone.

Sending you love and blessings Lynn, and peace for the times ahead.
I understand about tears...and hard years, but will say, with that wise mediaeval Lady, Julian of Norwich "all will be well, and all will be well, and all manner of things will be well".

Sending you blessings Lynn. I, too, have had an emotional roller coaster of a year. Finally, though, my head seems to have come straight again. Here's hoping for a healing winter xxx

Dear Lynn
I'm so sorry to hear you've had a terrible time this year. I hadn't realised from your blog posts, and would have sent big virtual hugs long before now. So here are a great many hugs coming your way. Life can be hard, and I'm sure that as we get older there are more and more mountains to climb. But all really will be well, and your wonderful optimism and deep faith in the goodness of nature will always bring comfort. Take care, Lynn. With love to you and yours,
xxxx
And I hope it brings you a smile to know that I still cherish the beautiful Christmas stocking that you made and sent to me a few years back. xxx

Ata brave girl! I'm so happy you're back. Sometimes life isn't exactly as we wish, like Robert and I separated for months and then spending every dime to be together, but with a bit of Dunkirk spirit we'll make it thru. :) I'm here for you.

Lynn- sometimes it just feels so good to stand in the wind and let the gentle breeze carry our troubles away. You've had more than your fair share it seems--- sending you a big hug to make up for that.

Ohhhh the cushion-- it's going to be exquisite. The perfect creative task for this brisk weather---

Sending love

Dearest Lynn, how wonderful are all these ladies ...the blog-friends who have never met, yet how lovely are all their comments, they brought tears to my eyes. I must add my hugs along with theirs to you dear Lynn. It looks like your days have turned a corner to sunnier times, and I do hope that you don't feel you have to close down your Etsy store. You are superbly talented and your work is stunning. Everything is steeped through and through with your uniquely haunting beauty, it deserves to be seen...and purchased!
My year has been trying too,(health wise) and how many of us are feeling to the bottom of our purses with all the cuts and price rises. But when I visit your beautiful blog I am ALWAYS raised up. Your words and pictures remind me of all that is special, delightful and loving, and we send you the biggest huggyest hugging just for being you!
